Those spider veins and varicose veins that seem to pop up on most adults’ legs may be common, but that doesn’t mean you have to live with them. Many types of vein disease are very treatable and easy to deal with, thanks to advances in minimally invasive, virtually pain free techniques.
If you’re tired of how your veins look – or if they’re causing you any type of discomfort – it’s time to let the experts assess the situation and talk with you about treatment options.
VEININNOVATIONS – Atlanta’s leading expert on having great legs for life – is hosting a free seminar on vein treatment and free ultrasound screenings on Saturday, August 28, 2004 at 10 a.m. Participants should bring a loose pair of shorts.
Jana Emmett, PA-C, MMSc, clinical director of VEININNOVATIONS, will lead the seminar. Ms. Emmett worked as a surgical physician assistant for 8 years before joining the VEININNOVATIONS team, primarily focusing on vascular surgery. She will educate participants about the causes of and treatments for vein problems, plus discuss the cosmetic and health issues surrounding these conditions.
The free ultrasound screening is painless and only takes a few minutes, yet is a key to every patient’s treatment plan. That’s because it allows the experts at VEININNOVATIONS to learn whether you have more serious, underlying vein conditions that haven’t surfaced yet. If so, they’re able to treat you more thoroughly and hopefully head off some potential problems (such as pain, swelling, ulcers, limited activity and more) before you experience them.
The seminar and screening are free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served. Space is limited, so participants must register. Call 678-731-9815 to register or for directions and more information. VEININNOVATIONS is located off the Ashford-Dunwoody exit of Interstate 285 at 1150 Hammond Drive, Suite B-2140 in Atlanta.
