Darrell Caudill, MD, FACS
Dr. Caudill graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He completed general surgery residence training at the University of Cincinnati Hospital Group. He then was on active duty with the United States Army in Republic Viet Nam serving in the central highlands at the 13th Field Hospital Ahn Khe with the rank of major.He returned to the University of Cincinnati and completed thoracic and cardiovascular residency in 1971.Dr. Caudill initiated the cardiac surgical program at Roanoke Memorial Hospital Roanoke,Virginia.In 1973, he came to Atlanta and Georgia Baptist Medical Center and initiated the use of the intra aortic balloon in the state of Georgia. He became chief of the cardiothoracic surgery section at Georgia Baptist Medical Center 1982-1991 and then again 1996-2000.In 1990 his practice expanded to Saint Joseph’s Hospital with Atlanta Cardiac and Thoracic Surgery Associates.Dr. Caudill retired from cardiac surgery in 2006 to devote himself full time to the treatment of venous disease and opened OH2 Medical Spa in Alpharetta, Georgia. Dr. Caudill is board certified in both general and thoracic and cardiovascular surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American College of Cardiology.
