What Kinds of Treatment Does VEININNOVATIONS Offer?
VEININNOVATIONS offers the most comprehensive, state-of-the-art laser treatment modalities available for venous disease. Your treatment plan is tailored to you, depending on your specific condition and goals. Some of our treatment approaches include:
VNUS Closure® (radiofrequency-induced closure of the greater saphenous vein): Your VI physician administers local anesthesia, then uses a needle puncture or small incision site to insert a small catheter into the GSV. An electrode on the end of the catheter produces heat energy to close the vein. This type of vein closure is done in our office and allows for quick recovery – most patients return to normal activities within one day. Data reveal a VNUS Closure® success rate of well over 90%.

Sclerotherapy: This treatment involves injecting a special kind of fluid with a micro-needle into the affected vein. This fluid causes the vein walls to become non-functional and, in most cases, disappear.

ELAS (endo-luminal laser ablation of the GSV):
With this office-based approach, your VI physician administers a local anesthetic and uses a needle puncture to insert a small-diameter laser filament into the vein. He uses the laser to make the vein walls non-functional. Patients report minimal post-operative discomfort from ELAS.

Laser Treatment of Leg Veins: Your VI physician may also use lasers to produce selective light-induced thermal damage to small spider veins, causing them to disappear.

Treatment at VEININNOVATIONS most often involves a combination of sclerotherapy and laser treatment.
